Product Description
Dr Phillip Callahan brought to prominence the importance of paramagnetism in agriculture showing how it can increase plant growth and yield. To evaluate material for paramagnetic potential you need to measure magnetic susceptibility. This is possible with specialised laboratory meters but they are often in the price range of $5000-$9000 dollars and they are not manufactured to specially measure agriculture materials. Dr Phillip Callahan noticed this problem and manufactured the PCSM - Phillip Callahan Soil Meter so farmers and consultants can measure magnetic susceptibility of agriculture materials.
Many people since Dr Phillip Callahan work in paramagnetism have looked into the phenomenon further. Dr Thomas M. Dykstra has complied a great article explaining the latest experiments that was published in Acres USA magazine. In one experiment was to isolate the effect of paramagnetism by putting the paramagnetic material into a plastic canister and then next to the plants in the soil. This would mean that the paramagnetic rock material used that contains a rich lode of minerals would not effect plant growth. There was over a 30% increase in plant height in the paramagnetic treated plants compared to the control. In another experiment using a similar scientific design but with radishes there was a significant increase in root length, plant mass, and root density. To read the full article from Dr Thomas M.
